Senior Data Scientist - Digital Freight, Economic Research, Demographic Modeling
I’m passionate about leveraging data science models to better understand complex systems and deliver actionable insights. I’m currently a Senior Data Scientist at Convoy, where I built and manage our Market Rate Model, a neural net model that estimates market truck costs and drives competitiveness in the emerging industry of digital freight. I use insights on market trends to optimize contract strategy and drive customer insights.
Previously, I managed development of the Demographic Microsimulation model at the Penn Wharton Budget Model. I built and maintained the infrastructure and data pipelines for this model for several years, integrating contributions from a team of developers. Findings from the model are regularly used to guide lawmakers on federal policy decisions.
My educational background is in economics, applied statistics, and computer science.
